Learning to drive
As a
highly trained instructor
I could help you to
pass your test more quickly
and saving you money
by using the most modern techniques to help you to visualise, understand
and put into practice the skills you need to know to pass your test
and drive confidently, competently and safely on the modern British
roads.
I try to make my
car a friendly and relaxed environment while ensuring that you learn
at the quickest pace possible.
All training is
carried on on a 1 to 1 basis and you will be given your own driving
record so you can keep track of your progress.
I use an easy
to follow step by step driving syllabus to ensure that you learn at
the quickest pace to get you ready for your test in the quickest
possible time and giving you the very best chance of passing 1st
time.
While you're learning to drive why not do a
B-Tec
level 2 Award,
Demonstrate safe driving (car)?
This could:
-
Help lower your insurance premium by a
minimum of 15%.
-
Be
an additional
recognized qualification
on your C.V.
-
Look good on your
personal statement when applying to university.
-
Help you understand the
importance of Eco driving and how you can save money on
your fuel bill.
-
Help you understand the
importance of car maintenance and how looking after your
car can cut out unnecessary repair bills.
As well as helping you to pass your
driving test I also offer courses for those with a full driving
licence, these include the Pass Plus, Taxi training, Motorway
tuition and refresher courses.
Learning with an instructor Vs private learning
There is no right or wrong way to
learn to drive. Some people think that by learning with a parent or
friend is cheaper than paying for professional tuition, although in
reality this is not normally the case.
Firstly, there is the cost - paying £21 per hour might seem
expensive but the time you spend in the car is time well spent. You
will not only learn to drive, you will be taught to drive to the
DSAs standards.
My average learner spends about
£600 on driving lessons,
this includes, tax, fully comprehensive insurance, fuel, running
costs and repair bills. If you learn to drive privately insurance
for a provisional licence holder can be anything up to
£1000!
Then there are the ever rising fuel costs as well as the added
mileage and wear and tear to your car.
Secondly, what is the point in learning to drive if your not
learning the correct way that will earn you your driving licence?
The problem is that although full licence holders might know how to
drive, they could well teach you bad habits that could be picked up
by a driving examiner on your test. I am not saying that you should not practice
driving privately and I do encourage my students to practice their
driving whenever possible. I also strongly encourage
parents/supervising adults to sit in the back of my car to watch how
I am teaching the student to drive so that all parties know what is
expected from the student.
